We have all been affected, one way or another, from the changes forced by the Coronavirus pandemic. We have endured trials and troubles at various points, with life being upended from what we were used to. School/work affected, financial struggles, challenges obtaining food and necessities, not being able to socialize with friends and family as we were accustomed. As we dwell on the enormity of it all, it sometimes becomes overwhelming. After all, most of us do not like change of any sort, especially so much at one time, and so much negative change with the uncertainty of when it will end. However, I challenge you to look for the positive. Yes, positive, because it is there, and plenty of it. Most of us have been required to slow down and do things differently, it has made us think in different ways and become more creative. Many have spent more time lately with close family than they normally do (yes, that is a good thing), creating good memories that will last a lifetime. God continues to bless us in many ways throughout this little trial of life, sometimes testing us and the trust we have in Him. How are we behaving during this season of change? He has foretold of such calamities during this time (and much worse), so this should not alarm us, it should actually help prepare us for His second coming. Just remember, GOD IS IN CONTROL! Read the story of Job, and compare and contrast what we are going through. Yes, it is not so bad, and the worst of it will soon be over. We will have a new normal after this, but I challenge that many of the changes will probably be for our good. Keep focused on Jesus, and the “troubles” we are experiencing become minor; because we are looking at Him instead of them.
Nothing but Troubles?
